Boston Arts Festival

At this juried show of 75 artists, which was sponsored by the City of Boston and the Mayor’s Office, Ms. Solomon was the only artist to win the Mayor’s Award for “outstanding visual art in 3-D.”

This by-invitation-only exhibit was earmarked by the Worcester Center for Crafts as its premier show for 2001. Cosponsored by Clark University, the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the Massachusetts Foundation for the Humanities among others, the curator sought artists whose work related to goddess images and ancient archaeology of the Neolithic period.
